Fresh and nostalgic debut album
Electro trio Chvrches have crafted a sound which manages to feel both fresh and nostalgic at the same time.
Their retro synth sound is a throwback to early eighties dance and their debut album ‘The Bones of What You Believe’ is comprised of tracks that bring favourable comparison with the era’s best electrotonic acts.
The lead single ‘The Mother We Share’ is the highlight. Chvrches are one of the best new British bands and this is one of my favourite albums in quite some time. KH
