Set in the quiet village of Drumahoe and on the battlefields of the Somme in 1916, Home for Christmas tells the story of a group of young men who signed up for the great adventure of World War 1. From their life before enlistment, through training, to the Somme on July 1, 1916, their story contrasts with the story of those family members left behind worrying for the return of their loved ones, as adventure turned to nightmare.

Presented by East Bank Protestant Boys Flute Band for the UK City of Culture Celebrations, this is the first time since 2001 that Sam Starrett’s much loved play has been produced.

Curtain up on ‘Home for Christmas’ is at 8pm nightly. Tickets £9.50 or £7.50 concession. To book seats telephone the Box Office on 028 7131 4000 or book online at www.watersidetheatre.com
