Ignore Pete’s music at your peril

It’s easy to ignore Pete Doherty’s music given the fact it’s generally his private life that makes the headlines.

Despite his high-profile failings he has consistently delivered top-notch albums, firstly with the Libertines, then latterly as a solo artist and in Babyshambles with whom Sequel To The Prequel is one of his most accessible albums in the past 16 years.

Farmer’s Daughter is the stand out track on this multi-faceted album that could best be pigeon-holed as alternative folk-based Vaudevillian rasta-jazz. GC
