Just enough to pass a musical MOT
Such is their prolificacy it feels like Maximo Park have been around forever. Five studio albums in 10 years has helped to propel their legacy.
Too Much Information isn’t a classic by their standards but boasts enough decent songs to pass a musical MOT. Lyrically Paul Smith is up to his usual form but the main criticism is their hooks are a tad too subtle given the monstrous melodies that bolstered their early work.
Best tracks are Leave This Island, My Bloody Mind and Where We’re Going. GC
