The play, written and produced by Mary McLaughlin, was inspired by the late great Pat Mulkeen.

The action is based in a hospital and charts the lives and loves of the hospital cleaning staff, who are facing a very uncertain future due to the pending privatisation of cleaning services within the Health Trust.

The play shines a light, and gives centre stage to the women and men of any hospital who are the invisible army to most - the cleaning staff.

Their role is vital in maintaining the health service, and in hospitals in particular and this play charts the life and loves, and in some cases losses, of the unsung heroes of every ward and hospital corridor.

It portrays the hard work determination and ultimate team work that keeps a hospital on its feet, as they battle against the system, and triumph against all odds, with a fair share of laughter and fun along the way.
