New production of hit musical

Hit musical ‘The Last Five Years’ returns to Belfast in a new, fresh production at Belvoir Players Studio Theatre on September 11 and 12.

With a new challenging in the round staging directed by Gary Redpath, and musical direction from Ryan Quinn, this production takes the show to a new intimate level.

Written by Tony award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, ‘The Last Five Years’ tells the emotionally powerful story of two 20-somethings who dive head first into a marriage fuelled by the optimism that comes with finding ‘the one’.

In a story told almost entirely through song, all of Cathy’s songs begin at the end of their marriage and move backwards, whilst Jamie’s songs start of the beginning of their relationship and move forward.

Starring Sinead Coll (Sister Act, Jekyll And Hyde), and Adam Williamson (recently seen as Jesus in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’).

Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster - this intimate show will make you laugh and cry, changing how you feel from song to song. Funny, honest, and intimate, with an exuberantly romantic score by award winning composer Jason Robert Brown, The Last Five Years takes a bold look at one young couple’s hope that love endures the test of time.

The show will run from September 11-12 at Belvoir Players Studio Theatre in Belfast. Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office on 028 9049 1210 or online at www.belvoirplayers.org.
