Perfect 10 for ‘Mutinous’ David Gray
Four years after floundering with Foundling, David Gray returns with some aplomb with Mutineers. His 10th studio album is one of his best, most complete works.
Opening with Back In The World he gives a nod to the mainstream, but it’s the trio of songs in the middle of the album (Beautiful Agony, Last Summer and Snow in Vegas) that showcase Gray’s profound talent as a man able to create tenable soundscapes with his words and music. Closing track Gulls is another resonating success. GC
