Powerful theatre at the Island Arts Centre

Terra Nova Productions brings fresh, powerful intercultural theatre about Northern Ireland to the stage and will perform '˜Mi Mundo' in the Island Studio Theatre on Friday March 10 and Saturday March 11.

‘Mi Mundo’ is all about audience participation. It tells the tale of a Northern Irish girl who falls in love with a boy from Peru and what happens next.

Staged in a relaxed, informal setting, an audience of just thirty people is invited to join the action.

It explores issues surrounding the UK Immigration System, marriage not just between two people but two different nationalities. It explores what it means to be a foreign national living in Northern Ireland today.

Interaction is encouraged by sitting where you want, walking where you want and taking in the action as it unfolds.

Uniquely, there are optional workshops following the performances where the audience can engage further with the story and have their say on some of the questions and issues raised in the performance.

The show lasts approximately one hour. There are seven performances over two days. Workshops take place after each one apart from 7 and 8pm performances on Friday March 10.
