The central theme of the play is about two men on different sides of the conflict, who form a deeply affecting, surprising bond which overcomes their enmity.

‘Exquisitely sensitive, a torrent of beautifully imagined writing,’ is how the Sunday Independent described the play, while the Sunday Times commented: ‘A play of considerable power’.
