The curtain goes up on '˜The 39 Steps'

The curtain went up on Bruiser Theatre Company's latest production, '˜The 39 Steps', at the Lyric Theatre in Belfast this week and the show runs until Saturday April 16.

The 39 Steps is 100 minutes of ingenious, comedic fun brought together with thrilling action as four actors play 139 roles in this gripping whodunit.

The play is based on the 1935 adventure film of the same name. Michael Johnston debuts as the dashing hero ‘Hannay’; actress Hannah Brackstone-Brown plays the three women with whom he has romantic entanglements; Michael Condron and Liam Jeavons play every other character in the show: heroes, villains, men, women, children and even the occasional inanimate object.

The audience will be taken on a journey of its wannabe hero, all the way from middle-class London up to the Scottish glens.

Tickets, priced from £10, are available online at www.lyrictheatre.co.uk.
