Titanic Theatre at the Roe!

A THRILLING theatre event exploring the Titanic disaster visits the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre/Ionad Ealaíon agus Cultúir Ghleann na Ró on Thursday, October 27, 8pm.

On April 15 1912, the Titanic, the greatest ship in the world, slipped below the frigid waters of the Atlantic. Yet, J. Bruce Ismay, Managing Director of the White Star Line, stepped into a lifeboat and sailed away from the disaster unfolding, away from the stricken ship and away from the cries of his drowning passengers.

A unique and thrilling production by London-based Isosceles Theatre, will take you back in time to that fateful evening, examining Ismay’s actions and asking whether any of us would have done the same. Was he a coward or merely human?
