Wonder Villains bring a little ray of sunshine
Sending a little ray of sunshine through your stereo are NI Music Prize nominees, The Wonder Villains.
Their debut album Rocky is jangly indie pop at its finest. Producer Rocky O’Reilly helps the Derry band capture the same euphoric synth sounds that brought his former band Oppenheimer a taste of the big time while fellow female-fronted band Chvrches and Katy Perry are also referenced. Zola and Oh Peter capture their partying best, while Fiction shows a more sombre side. GC
