Three for the show at Town Hall

The three have performed a number of these songwriters’ circle-type shows, where they take turns to sing their songs and share stories from the road and tales of how the songs came to be written.

Eilidh Patterson has had an amazing year, celebrating the release of her debut album When the Time Comes. The album has confirmed her reputation as one Northern Ireland’s brightest songwriting stars, following the major airplay that was achieved by her song ‘Still Learning’.

She has performed through the UK, as well as in Nashville and Austin, and has just returned from a UK and European tour with songwriting legend and long term fan Beth Nielsen Chapman.

Coleraine-born Anthony Toner (who made his first public singing appearance in the Riada Inn in Ballymoney!) has become well known for radio-friendly songs like ‘Sailortown’ and ‘The Duke of Oklahoma’. His albums have attracted strong reviews and his live shows feature fine guitar playing and some entertaining stories.

Just back from a week of shows in New York, Anthony is currently working on some material for what will be his fourth album, and is developing a strong following in Canada and the United States.

Likewise, Paul Casey has been developing something of an international profile. The Derry-born singer songwriter is also a fine guitar player, a skill he puts to good use on his catchy and memorable songs.

Paul has notched up major success with his most recent album, Scrapbook – and his friendship with the legendary songwriter and guitarist Chris Rea recently resulted in Paul touring throughout Europe and the US, both as support act and band member with Rea, who has become a fan and a real champion for Paul’s material.

This looks like being a memorable evening. Increasing popularity and demand for these three friends makes it harder and harder to pull evenings like this together, so this is a rare chance to see all three artists on the same stage.
