Three set to rock at Flowerfield

PREPARE for a high-energy, high-volume night at Flowerfield this Saturday as three of the North Coast’s rising names line up for a rock night – with tickets only £4.

Lantern for a Gale, Casper’s Friend and Dying Breed will share the spotlight at the Portstewart venue in a special ticket-only show that starts at 8pm.

There are 100 tickets on sale for the gig and admission will be strictly by ticket only. Each of the bands has been building a strong following throughout the North West, and this is a rare chance to catch three emerging talents under one roof for less than a fiver.

Lantern for a Gale are regarded as one of Northern Ireland’s most energetic and vital bands, and they’re developing a strong following for their aggressive hardcore approach.

“Their sound is confrontational and harrowing,” said Daniel Robinson of the Live4Ever website, “but also allows room for massive riffs that bring to mind crumbling, wrecked living rooms and airless basement circle pits.”

Casper’s Friend describe themselves as three teenage boys channeling ‘a vivacious trio of young, meddling reptiles hailing from the Planet Weimar’… Expect high-octane alternative rock from this fast-emerging talent.

Dying Breed are currently celebrating the release of their debut EP, Don’t Follow the Rabbit, and have won battle of the bands competitions at the recent Red Sails Festival and the Danny Boy Rocks festival.
