Tom Baxter to play at the Limelight

Having done a number of Irish dates late last year Tom Baxter will return and head North to play a headline show at the Limelight 1 Belfast on May 31, armed with his album ‘The Uncarved Block-Part One’ and tickets are on sale now.

Tom has also been a songwriter for others, a challenging task to take on, when you consider the mix of personalities he has been asked to write for, ranging from Matt Cardle, to actress Eliza Bennett. Big names such as Shirley Bassey and Boyzone have also taken on covers of his songs.

Tom’s third album, The Uncarved Block - Part One is a collection of songs that started their life when Tom was travelling India. Originally envisaged part of a double album, Part One presents the songs in their truest form: Tom with acoustic guitar or piano. Tom’s travels inspired more than just the guitar sound heard on the album, the whole concept is linked to an appreciation of foreign culture, and particularly an admiration of India and Daoism, otherwise known as Taoism.

Tickets for the Belfast show are on sale now from all usual outlets.
