Tony Lavery Fleadh set for this weekend

The Tony Lavery Fleadh takes place this coming weekend in venues across the Lurgan area.

It kicks off on Friday night with a Soda Bread & Pollen Session in St Paul’s Club in Taghnevan. Fresh soda bread will be cooked while a Folk Session kicks off at 9.30pm.

At the same time The Corner House in Derrymacash will host a Bluegrass Session with Bluegrass musicians travelling from near and far.

Also on Friday Night at 9.30pm JP’s bar in Church Place will host a Traditional Session with trad players from all over the country expected.

Saturday in The Corner House Bar sees the The Comhalst session. It starts at 5pm and The Trasna session that night takes place from 9.30pm with music all day and night in The Corner House.

Sunday’s All Ireland Football final will be followed by a trad session in JP’s bar from 5pm and The Stables Bar on the Old Portadown Road from 7pm.

The Corner House will host the Fleadh Finale kicking off at 9.30pm and going on until the wee small hours.

There will also be a Sunday session in JP’s from 5pm and the Hangover Session takes place in JP’s bar on Monday from 3pm.

All venues are open to have more sessions all weekend.
