Top line-up for St Patrick’s Day

MUSIC, story-telling, busking, comedy, parade and outdoor concerts make up 11 days of festival fun for this year’s Armagh St Patrick’s Festival.

A jam-packed line-up for the festival running from March 9-19, includes the acts Four Men and a Dog, supported by the Armagh Pipers’ Club Big Band - scheduled for the Market Place Theatre on Wednesday, March 14 - followed by a performance by Canadian girl group Ashelin on Thursday, March 15.

On the friday (March 16), Tim McGarry‘s Political Party takes to the stage.

The Saint Patrick’s Day Celebrations continue on Saturday, March 17, at noon with music in Market Square, followed by a parade at 2.30pm. Live music and celebrations continue throughout the afternoon.

Also, the Palace Demesne will play host to the Minister of the Department of Social Development, Nelson McCausland, who is booked to give the Saint Patrick’s Lecture.

Celebrations end with a concert by ‘The Priests’ in St Patrick’s Cathedral (Catholic) and, as a special Mothers’ Day treat, ‘Anúna’ will perform in Saint Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral.
