Take it to the Bridge has been organised by two young entrepreneurs from Banbridge and Newry who are dedicated to establishing an annual event for music fans young and old to help combat those recession blues.

And what could be more entertaining than the UK's most successful tribute act – The Complete Stone Roses who have helped to carry the music of one of the UK's most influential bands – the Stone Roses - who have played a pivotal role in the history of the UK's indie music scene.

Also on the bill are the critically acclaimed instrumental band from And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) who have played a mammoth 170 gigs all over Europe in the past year.

From the iron-clad riffs to the pummelling crash of the cymbals to the palpable positivity of the music, it's everything great rock (never mind just instrumental rock) music should be.

Take it to the Bridge ticket holders will also be treated to some of the hottest up-and-coming acts in the UK and Ireland right now, including the schizophrenic and energetic Max Raptor, genre defying Spectrum 7, indie dance-rocker Panama Kings, highly acclaimed A Plastic Rose, and punch-packing Strait Laces.

Joining this exciting talent on the main stage will be the winner of the 'Battle to the Bridge' competition, chosen in the weeks leading up to the event.

The closing date for entries is March 31 and with over 40 entries already submitted, there is no doubt an exciting new act will be showing what they're made of alongside those already on their way to the big-time.
