Traditional music in Dunloy

DUNLOY Comhaltas begins its classes in traditional music and singing for the year 2010 – 2011 on Wednesday, September 15 from 7pm until 8.30pm.

These classes offer musicians from the age of 8 and upwards catering for all abilities the chance to develop their skills in a range of instruments and traditional Irish singing. Registration for the classes is on Wednesday 8 September from 7.00pm until 8.3pm in the Comhaltas Centre in Dunloy.

Classes will be offered in tin whistle, flute. fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bodhran, button accordion as well as traditional Irish singing.

Dunloy Comhaltas is part of the larger network of Comhaltas branches which form Comhaltas Ceoltir ireann (CCE). Dunloy Comhaltas was formed in 1976 and has provided classes for over 30 years and can boast a number of winners at Ulster and All Ireland Fleadh level.
