Trucker get hammered

Last weekend the band were playing in Glasgow at the Hard Rock Hell showcase and impressed judges to gain the slot at one of the UK’s biggest festivals.

The festival is run in conjunction with leading industry metal magazine Metal Hammer.

The Lurgan-based band have also managed to get their first American single ‘Drink Beer, Destroy’ onto Rock Band which is out for the XBox. The song will be available to download on the Rock band network around Christmas time.

Closer to home, fans can catch Trucker Diablo when they make a stop at the Premier this Friday for their Halloween show to finish off a highly successful year for the band.

Trucker Diablo have become an unstoppable machine through the local support of fans, a DIY, grass roots, word of mouth movement across the internet, and the persistent work ethic that is forcing the world to make notice.

Their debut album ‘The Devil Rhythm’ featured a guest appearance from fellow Northern Irish rocker and new Thin Lizzy frontman, Ricky Warwick.

In addition to the endorsement from Ricky Warwick, the band has also received accolades from Joe Elliot (Def Leppard) and Cormac Neeson (The Answer).

In the summer of 2011 the band were hand-picked by the Download festival promoters and performed on the Pepsi Max stage in front of a 6,000 strong crowd while Dee Snider from legendary rock band Twisted Sister watched from the side and stayed for the whole set.

With tracks from the album being played on American, Canadian, Australian, and British radio stations - including a live studio session on BBC Radio One - and a bevy of positive world-wide press culminating with appearances on the cover-mount CD’s for Classic Rock and Metal Hammer, Trucker Diablo gained the attention of the California-based independent hard rock label, Ripple Music, and both families quickly became one.

The Devil Rhythm will be re-released through Ripple Music towards the end of 2011, with the new edition of the album featuring a previously unreleased track, as well as two songs recorded live at the 2011 Download Festival.
