Two night sale at McAfees has plenty on offer

MORE than 1150 lots feature in McAfee Auctions two night sale this Thursday and Friday and promises to have something for everyone according to Gerry McAfee, Auctioneer.

Among the furniture is a Two Door Mahogany Bookcase, a Fine Modern Partners Desk, a collection of Oriental Hardwood Furniture, Breakfast Tables, Sideboards, Chaise Lounges, Chests, Occasional Tables, Chairs including Spoon Back Ladies Chair, three Roll Top Desks, Victorian Small Pedestal Desk, Hall Table, Marble Top Wash Stand, Hall Stand etc.

Five Long Cased Clocks sit aside three Vienna Clocks, Drop Dial Wall Clocks, and a selection of Mantel Clocks, which include a superb large Carriage Clock by Mallet of Jersey.

A good selection of Old Guns are included in the sale and including a Blunder Bust by a Dublin maker and three Pistols. A number of Medals are also included as are a McArthur Memorial Program, an Austrailian 18th Cricket Tour Program and other memorabilia.

Barometers are also to the fore with an interesting collection of same and there are a good number of mirrors including a superb Giltwood Eagle Surmount Convex Mirror and a Mahogany Inlaid Framed Rectangular Mirror of really good quality.

Ceramics include Royal Worcester, Royal Dux and Royal Doulton, Hummells, Belleek and a good collection and selection of Border Fine Art figurines including a few Limited Edition pieces.

A good selection of solid silver include an Eperne an Lidded Boxes, Dressing Table Bottles, Baskets, Dishs, Cutlery, etc. are included as is a very attractive Silver and Crystal Boat Shaped Inkwell.

Jewellery includes Rings, Bracelets, a Gold Chain Bracelet, Fobs, Wrist Watches etc.

On the more general furnishing side there is a selection of Table and Chair Sets, Lounge Suits, Corner and other Display Units, Occasional Living Room and Dining Room Furniture, Painted by Henry McLaughlin, D Todd, H McIlfatrick, JP Rooney, Burns, G Bennet, S McLarnon, GW Morrison etc.

The Sale dates are Thursday 20th May and Friday 21st May at 6.30pm each evening and viewing commences on Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th May from 3.00pm – 5.00pm and 7.00pm – 8.30pm and each day of sale from 4.00pm.
