Uncle Tommy gets another wake

STAGE Aid's recent production of 'Uncle Tommy's Wake' is coming back by popular demand for one night only.

Anne O’Neill from Stage Aid said: “Last week’s shows were such a success that we’re putting on another night.

“We ran out of chairs. The woman on the door had to carry her dining room chairs and patio chairs over to let more people in.”

The extra show takes place on Saturday, May 8 at 8.30pm in Gilford Community Hall.

‘Uncle Tommy’s Wake’ is the third part of Gilford playwright Armand Gaillard’s trilogy which began with ‘The Spinner’s Ball’ and was followed by the equally successful ‘The Wedding Of Lily Thompson’.

Tickets are on sale at Express Cleaners in Lurgan and the Spar in Gilford.

Due to the ongoing generosity of Stage Aid audiences, in the past year alone, they have been able to donate in excess of 5,000 to Third World charities.
