Visit from Assistance Dogs

Gleno Women's Institute welcomed the ladies from Assistance Dogs NI to their recent meeting.

Members learned how beneficial these dogs were to young people and physical disabilities.

Vice president Yvonne conducted the meeting and was pleaded to welcome Dougal the eight-month-old black Labrador with his foster carer.

ADNI also train companion dogs and therapy dogs for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. The ballot winner for ‘best doggie’ photo was Phyllis Gilliland with Glenda Bradley coming a close second.

A beautiful supper was supplied by Caroline Barry, Margaret Jack, Margaret McMinn and Heather Buchanan.
