Vote for Conleth

LURGAN man Conleth Kane survived a sing-off to get through to the next live show of RTE's FAME: The Musical.

His powerful version of ‘The Winner Takes It All’ wowed the judges but didn’t stop him from ending up in the bottom two based on the public vote.

Thankfully, the judges intervened to save Conleth and urged everyone in Northern Ireland to get behind the Lurgan man.

The 26-year-old has also appealed for the support of his province as he doesn’t want a repeat of Sunday’s nerve-wracking bottom two finish.

He said: “I ended up in the bottom two on Sunday night, despite being given the best comments the whole night. The judges also saved me in the sing-off. They did not want to lose me and made a plea live on TV that my province get behind me.”

Conleth is the sole representative from Northern Ireland among the Nick-wannabes for Ireland’s first West End scale production.

Conleth commented: “I need the media up in Northern Ireland to back me or I am on a losing battle. I could win this, but I need people to be aware that I am in it as not many people tune into RTE.”
