Wade Training host course to overcome employment barriers

Wade Training have successfully secured funding from European Social Fund and the Department of Employment and Learning to help unemployed individuals in the Southern Region, overcome barriers to employment or learning through a positive lifestyle course.

The course content has been designed in conjunction with the South Ulster Housing Association in order to help overcome issues tenants or householders may face. However, the programme is also open to non SUHA tenants.

Louise Gregory Chief Development Officer said: “The course covers a wide range of areas ranging from financial well-being, preparing healthy tasty meals on a budget to working with external agencies such as the Money Advice Service and The Credit Union. The course is new and exciting and offers participants flexibility to take part in some or all of the training on offer. One to One help and support is offered throughout, making sure participants feel at ease as we recognise that many will not have been in a learning environment for some time.”
