Waringstown jazz man in bistro gig

As well as music Palomo are offering a fabulous three course meal and glass of Prosecco on arrival at the Bistro.

The tunes will be provided by the incredible jazz musician David Lyttle from Waringstown on double bass featuring leading blues singer and guitarist Ronnie Greer.

The duo are set to perform a fantastic repertoire, promising a night of magnificent music and superb cuisine!

David Lyttle is described as a ‘major player on the Irish music scene’ by Hot Press magazine and now owns record label LYTE Records. His latest album ‘Interlude was described as ‘incredible’ by the Daily Mirror and ‘exceptional’ by the MOBO Awards. It reached an audience of millions through an HMV album advert on Channel 4 and received major radio play from BBC Radio 1 to KLUC Las Vegas. David has performed around the world with his own band and in the groups of Mercury-nominated Soweto Kinch and the young Jazz Guitarist Andreas Varady, who is mentored by David and US producer Quincy Jones (Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra). Although known primary as a drummer, David will be performing this intimate and rare local gig at Palomo Bistro on Double Bass.

Ronnie Greer, recognised as Northern Ireland’s leading Blues Singer and Guitarist, has been honing his craft for over 40 years. Influenced by the Chicago Blues and the music of Ray Charles, he has worked with Dr John, Sonny Terry and Memphis Slim.

Ronnie also has strong associations with much talked about new Irish blues stars such as Grainne Duffy and is a regular on the Irish festival circuit.
