What a creative lot you are, Ballymoney!

This month, Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee will host a programme of events in Ballymoney Town Hall showcasing the amazing talent and creativity of local people.

The programme opens with Creative Ballymoney, an exhibition featuring a wonderful selection of work created by the participants of some of the courses which take place in the Town Hall during the year including painting, patchwork, calligraphy, knitting and crocheting. The exhibition runs until 21 May and opening hours are Monday – Thursday & Saturday 9am-5pm & Friday 9am-4.30pm.

Local artist and painting tutor Freda McKeown will be giving a painting demonstration on Saturday 17 May from 10.30am-12.30pm during the exhibition. The arts committee are delighted to present An Evening of Readings by Ballymoney Creative Writers on Tuesday 20 May at 8pm in the Town Hall. Admission to both events is free.

On 17 May, jeweller Diane Lyness hosts a silver jewellery workshop for adults where participants will have the opportunity to make a pair of silver stacking rings with semi-precious stones. On 24 May, children aged 5-11 can take part in a Design a T-Shirt workshop with Elaine Harkness. Further details are available from Ballymoney Town Hall 028 2766 0230.
