‘Where history and memories meet’

Cullybackey lady Sarah Bristow presented a book of personal memories to Ballymena Mayor Audrey Wales and a cheque for £2,450.00 to NI Children’s Hospice representatives Samina Bonar and Catherine O’Hara during a visit to the Mayor’s parlour.

The book, entitled “Where History & Memories Meet” takes readers on a sentimental journey back in time, introducing local characters of the day, the sacrifice of friends and family who fought in two world wars and precious family recollections of a bygone era.

Author Sarah, who dedicated the book to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren said “I am delighted to dedicate this book to my family and donate the proceeds of book sales to such a wonderful charity. I hope everyone enjoys the read. I very much enjoyed telling my story about a way of life almost forgotten.”

The book is available at the Bridge Garage Filling Station, Cullybackey and Fullens Supermarket, Portglenone.
