Whitesnake ‘steamroll’ into town

Steamroller, the band made up of members of legendary rockers Whitesnake, will open this year’s ‘Rock Metal’ Festival at The Nerve Centre on Friday, September 20.

Organised by imarocker.com the four day festival takes place in venues across the city with some of the finest national and international artists, in an event that will not only appeal to rock fans but will also inspire a new generation of rock/metal fans and musicians.

Steamroller, who will open the annual event, features Whitesnake members Doug Alrich and Michael Devin along with Mike Starr, drummer for Kiss, and founding member Ace Frehley.

Whitesnake have just completed another successful world tour and the three-piece Steamroller begin a European tour in Derry armed with an arsenal of Whitesnake classics alongside hits from acts such as Black Sabbath and Deep Purple.

Support comes from two local support acts in the shape of The Jeanette Hutton Band and Bakken.
