THE 'MAIL' has teamed up with Harp Ice Cold to offer the chance for two lucky readers to each win a pair of VIP passes to see local band Captain Kennedy play the Harp Ice Cold Big Gig in Belfast's Spring and Airbrake on Friday, July 30.

The Harp Ice Cold Big Gig showcases the finest new and up-and-coming talent from across the island of Ireland each month in 2010. The VIP passes will each allow free entry, access to the VIP area, free buffet and two complimentary pints of Harp Ice Cold per person.

Lurgan band Captain Kennedy will be appearing at The Harp Ice Cold Big Gig ahead of their highly anticipated debut album due to be released this summer. Their current single 'Stretch That Penny' is available now from all good online music stores.

The seven-piece ensemble have been the subject of regular airplay on BBC Radio One, BBC Radio Ulster and Cool FM and have appeared on BBC Two’s Blas Ceoil and Irish TV station TG4. The band have a great reputation for their live performances and on stage banter, demonstrated by a litany of impressive festival spots, including an opening slot on the Eagle's Rock stage at this Saturday's Glasgowbury.

Also playing at The Harp Ice Cold Big Gig on Friday, July 30 are singer/songwriter Cara Cowan and new Belfast band, Leeward Side.
