Wolf Parade lead the pack

WOLF Parade, having just released their third album this week, will play Spring and Airbrake on Monday, September 6.

Based in Montreal, Canada, the band formed in 2003. After releasing a four track EP, Hadji Nakara joined the band adding a synthesiser and sound manipulation element to the mix. A second EP shortly followed.

In September 2005, the band's debut album Apologies to the Queen Mary was released on Sub Pop Records to critical acclaim, earning a 2006 Polaris Music Prize nomination. A second album was released in 2008 and the band reconvened in 2009 to begin work on their forthcoming release, Expo 86.

Members of Wolf Parade are also part of other band's such as Handsom Furs, Sunset Rubdown and Arlen Thompson of the band played on a track for Arcade Fire.

Ed Zealous will support Wolf Parade at their upcoming Belfast gig.

Ed Zealous have built up quite a following in their native Belfast over the past few years, playing regularly to packed out venues throughout Northern Ireland and have opened for the likes of Hockey, Razorlight, Snow Patrol and The Killers.
