WWI exhibition

A ‘First World War in a Century of Conflict’. exhibition at GarvaghMuseum includes many interesting artifacts including an oriental sword once displayed in the office of Admiral Von Tirpitz, Commander of the German Navy.

German pickelhaubes (spiked helmets) and also a rare pickelhaube first issued to the Portuguese Army in 1900; uniforms, medals and other relics of this great conflict.

There is also a smaller display on World War 2 in an adjoining gallery in Garvagh Community Building, 85 Main Street, Garvagh. Admission free.
