15-year-old Emma Kearns has been writing for some time for pleasure but now she has collated her work into an online blog.

A student at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Ballymoney, Emma features both poetry and prose on her blog bronaghkearns.wordpress.com

Ducks astray

A flap and a waddle

A honk and a quack

Meddlesome ducks, wandering away

Green, misty grey and pure white

The three musketeers join in fight

Adorned in rich, thick feathers

Scatter the paved yard

Ann, scarlet in the face from a-calling

Rounds up the Drakes for the night

Meddlesome ducks, can’t you see her plight?
