Adrian Pollock at construction and civil engineering firm McLaughlin & Harvey, has received the Outstanding Contributor Award
Adrian Pollock, operations director (Civils) at construction and civil engineering firm McLaughlin & Harvey, has received the Outstanding Contributor award at the 2026 Northern Ireland Construction Awards.
Established by the Construction Employers Federation (CEF), the highly regarded awards bring the industry together to celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations, recognising strong partnerships, pioneering projects and leading initiatives.

Adrian was recognised for his role in significant schemes across Northern Ireland, including his work with Translink and the restoration of the Gobbins Cliff Path, as well as his ability to problem-solve and implement new programmes to support a greener future.
As the primary contact for Translink, Adrian played a key role in achieving a place for McLaughlin & Harvey on Translink’s FW122 Permanent Way Major Projects Framework to support its delivery of capital and maintenance works over the next five years.
Commenting on the win, he said: “I’m honoured to have received the Outstanding Contributor award. In nearly two decades at McLaughlin & Harvey, I’ve had the privilege of working on some of our biggest civil engineering projects across Northern Ireland, building strong relationships with our clients and supply chain partners while helping support a greener transport network.”
WorkSpace – a specialist division of McLaughlin & Harvey - in partnership with Translink, was also shortlisted for Infrastructure Project of the Year for its delivery of the Translink Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Infrastructure Programme.
The project represents a landmark investment in sustainable public transport across Northern Ireland, spanning five major transport depots and culminating in the installation of new electric bus charging systems, supporting Northern Ireland’s journey to net zero.
Gary McDonald, programme manager at Translink, said: “This recognition for the Translink Battery Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Programme is a testament to the collaboration, innovation and technical excellence that our team and WorkSpace demonstrated throughout this project.
“WorkSpace delivered a complex programme of works safely and without disruption, ensuring the depots remained fully operational and making a significant contribution to supporting our zero-emission ambitions.”
