• Best new business award

• Service with a smile award

• Best food & drink award

• Tradesperson of the Year

• Salon of the Year

“The awards are a great way to recognise those businesses that serve Ballyclare and take pride in their products, services and local area,” a council spokesperson explained.

“The awards will be decided by public vote which will be open from Monday, February 1 until Monday, February 29 so make sure you click www.antrimandnewtownabbey.gov.uk/businessawards to register your vote!

“You can also tweet your support for your favourite Ballyclare businesses by tweeting the name and the award category using the hashtag #BClareBiz.”

Traders in and around Ballyclare will also be displaying posters to let customers know how they can vote.

Urging people to back their favourite local businesses, David Reade, President of Ballyclare Chamber of Trade, said: “I would encourage everyone to vote. These awards are a great opportunity for local businesses to get the recognition they deserve.”
