Carrick’s town centre recovery has received a boost with three new businesses recently opening their doors.

NACS (Not Another Coffee Shop) is located on West Street; New Moon Holistics, established since 2017, has recently moved premises to the heart of the town and Slippy Soap Company is in North Street.

Welcoming their arrival, the Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Cllr William McCaughey, said: “It is a pleasure to visit the three new businesses in Carrickfergus.

“Everyone knows it’s been a tough few years for businesses, particularly for non-essential retail stores that have been unable to open during the lockdowns so this is very positive news for the area.

“We’re delighted to welcome NACS, New Moon Holistics and the Slippy Soap Company and the new jobs they have created in the borough.”

The new businesses can also avail of the ShopMEA app, which launched to the public in October and funded by the Department for Communities’ COVID-19 Recovery Revitalisation Programme.
