Causeway Coast and Glens Trust tourism conference

To celebrate the award and bring tourism representatives together, the Trust is holding a conference at the Galgorm Resort and Spa in Ballymena on Wednesday, October 26 from 9am to 3.30pm.

Guest speakers will include Jim Eastwood from the Apprentice, representatives from the Forest of Bowland AONB, Mourne Heritage Trust, the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, to name a few.

As a destination, the Causeway Coast and Glens is now recognised as being committed to implementing sustainable tourism initiatives under the EUROPARC Federation, in order to safeguard our landscapes for all to enjoy for years to come.

What is sustainable tourism and why do we need it? How can the European Charter work for you as a tourism body? What benefit will this have on your tourism business?

The conference will seek to answer these questions and explain how becoming involved in the EU Charter Network can be of benefit to you while protecting, conserving and enhancing the protected landscape of the Causeway Coast and Glens.

Delegates will receive a comprehensive conference pack and will be introduced to valuable information and techniques through presentation sessions and key note speeches in the morning, followed by a series of discussion workshops.

A two course buffet lunch with desserts followed by a debate session in the afternoon will answer all your burning questions.

A special raffle has been organised for your chance to win an overnight stay for two at the Galgorm Resort amd Spa, with full use of the thermal spa facilities and a complimentary dinner for two in Gillies Bar and Grill Restaurant.

The charge for the conference is £15 for private tourism businesses and £25 for non private businesses.
