“I’m obviously delighted with the overall Award from the IoD, amongst a group of so many admirable Directors and accept it as recognition for the great results which our team at CDE has delivered in recent years," said Mr McGurgan.

“The success we’ve enjoyed is a culmination of the work we’ve done to create a clear vision for our future and ensure all of our people are engaged as one team to help us achieve our aim to be the number one wet processing equipment company in every country in the world”.

"The eleven local directors shortlisted were put forward to the UK Finals having won their respective categories at the IoD Northern Ireland First Trust Bank Director of the Year Awards earlier this year."

Local directors Brendan Mooney of Kainos and Brian Murray of the Workspace Group had also been shortlisted for SME Director of the Year and Third Sector Director of the Year respectively, two hotly contested categories on the day.
