Danske Bank Abbey Centre to undergo refurbishment

Danske Bank is investing £500,000 to upgrade its Abbey Centre, Armagh, Ballymena and Banbridge branches.

To facilitate the work, the branch is now closed until Monday, December 7.

The investment includes state-of-the-art customer service technology, enhanced self-service solutions and a fresh look and feel, improving the overall customer experience.

Aisling Press, Managing Director of Personal Banking said: “The world of banking is continually evolving – and so are the needs of our customers.

“While changing consumer behaviours have driven increased investment in digital banking solutions for our customers, it’s all about providing choice, and our branches remain a fundamental part of the service we provide customers.

“That’s why over the last few years, we’ve invested over £3million in the upgrade of a number of our branches across Northern Ireland.”

Branch Manager Mark Johnston added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming customers to our newly refurbished branch in December.

“In the meantime we understand that the temporary closure may be inconvenient for some customers, but it means we will be able to reopen our transformed branch much sooner.

“There are a number of alternatives in place during the renovations, but I would encourage customers with any concerns to contact us.”

During the closure, customers will still be able to use the existing self-service wall at the branch for deposits and ATM cash withdrawals, or visit any other Danske Bank branch. The nearest branch is in Mallusk.
