Facebook advice for businesses

CRAIGAVON Borough Council is running a free workshop on how to use social media more effectively for those businesses already on Facebook or at least have a Facebook profile for their business.

Well known social media specialist Bill McCartney, Director of Net4wiseowls is running the workshop and will show people how to increase traffic to their page and convert this into sales.

The workshop takes place on Thursday, September 22, running from 6-9pm. Light refreshments are from 5.30pm onwards.

“This is a must for all those smaller businesses or retailers within the Borough particularly in this current economic climate,” said Chair of Development Committee, Councillor Carla Lockhart, “I’m delighted that Development is able to run this workshop providing practical and effective advice. Any advice particularly free advice on how to increase your sales is always very welcome. I have a hunch this workshop will fill quickly.”

Some of the key areas covered in the workshop include; social media myths, why Facebook? Facebook marketing strategy, how to build and promote your Facebook business page, SEO (EdgeRank) making sure your posts are seen, how to build rich engaging relationships for brand loyalty, and how to run an effective Facebook advert.
