Free equality seminars

Equality training for local employers and business owners is coming to Ballymena this autumn/winter.

The training is free, high quality and CPD accredited, according to Paul Oakes of the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland, providers of the training. He explained: “The sessions in Ballymena will be in the Tullyglass Hotel and they are designed to deliver the essentials in a short session. Equality considerations apply to employers of all sizes and it’s important that they know their responsibilities and rights, to safeguard their business and themselves by complying with the law, better protect their staff and better serve their customers. Ultimately the investment in time pays off in good business practice.”

The training on offer in Ballymena is on the key areas of Managing Bullying and Harassment at Work, 4 November 2014; a basic first course, Introduction to Understanding Equality, 11 November and Recruiting Fairly, 19 November. In the New Year, How to complete an Article 55 Review is on 12 February 2015, Promoting Age Equality at Work on 10 March and Managing Disability in the Workplace on 18 March.
