Host training programme

Training is taking place this week as part of a plan to turn Carrickfergus into a WorldHost Recognised Town.

WorldHost Town status is realised if 25 per cent of businesses have achieved recognition.

In order to become a WorldHost Recognised Business, at least 50% of front-line staff must have completed the programme.

Carrickfergus Borough Council is committed to the initiative and believes it would be “fantastic acknowledgement of the great customer service provided by businesses in our town”.

Funded by the Department of Employment and Learning. the two-day course, which concludes today (Thursday), covers the principles of customer service as well as an ambassador workshop. It is aimed at the tourism, hospitality, travel, transport and retail sectors.
