Madame Margo Hair Design, is situated at The Diamond, having previously been established at the Portmore Road in the town by the late Margaret (Margo) Evans.

Posting on Facebook, current owner Lynne McAllister Dent said: “This year we celebrate an incredible 60 years in business! 60 years of beautiful hair, friendships, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

"We know Margo would have been so proud to see us celebrating this amazing milestone and to see her legacy still going strong after all these years. We are so proud to continue what she began.

"A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful clients, past and present and to all the wonderful girls who worked alongside Margo over the years, you are such a special part of the Madame Margo story. 60 years on, Margo's legacy lives on.

"Here's to the memories we've made and the many more still to come!”

Lynne also paid tribute to her staff: “To my amazing girls, Maresa, Chelsea and Mandi, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

"This place wouldn't be what it is today without you. Your hard work, loyalty, support and dedication mean the world to me.

"I'm so lucky to have you all by my side, and I hope you know how much you're appreciated. We are more than just a team, we're a little family.”
