“The investment of some £3 million is a tremendous vote of confidence not only in the borough tourism industry, but for the Causeway Coast & Glens region and the wider Northern Ireland. With the capacity to stage events, the complex, which I believe will be the first of its kind in Europe, it provides potential to substantially increase tourism visitors and spend.

“It is also a great boost for employment with construction creating some 100 jobs, and 10-20 full-time and part time positions on completion of the complex. ”

The development, which is accessible to all, and has secured planning permission, also includes reception area, gunshop, café at ground level the establishment of a two acre lake stocked with trout on site, picnic areas and walkways and laneways for pony trekking.
