JTI closure - Ballymena reacts on social media
As news of the closure of the JTI plant in Ballymena spread, local people have been using the Ballymena Times facebook site to express their feelings of shock.
Times editor, Des Blackadder said: “When the statement from Ian Paisley came in I was stunned. I could scarcely believe the opening lines.
“That was compounded when the official JTI statement followed soon after. The is a real body blow to the local economy.”
