Military Careers Convention

THOSE contemplating a career in the armed forces will be interested to learn that there will be a Careers exhibition at Kinnegar Barracks in Holywood on Saturday and Sunday, March 17 and 18.

The Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Army are currently recruiting in Northern Ireland, with 750 new jobs available over the next year. The jobs, which are both full and spare time, cover a wide range of trades and professions, with engineers, medics and logistical personnel particularly in demand.

The Armed Forces Careers Exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 March from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Entry to the event is free and visitors will be required to show photographic ID on arrival.

There is no parking at Kinnegar Barracks. To get there, please leave the A2 Bangor Road at the turn-off for IKEA, follow the road past Sainsbury’s and B&Q and go into the Harbour Estate.

Park and ride facilities will be provided on Airport Road and will be signposted from the main road.
