Mullin’s Ice Cream to launch new product at the Tesco Taste Festival

Kilrea-based ice cream producers, Mullin’s Ice Cream, will be launching a brand new range of ice Cream at the Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Festival in Belfast’s Custom House Square next month.

Based on the award-winning and ever-popular scoop ice cream, the four new flavours of dairy ice cream will be produced from fresh deliveries of local milk and cream and will sold in distinctive 900ml striped tubs, featuring the most popular flavours chosen by Northern Irish ice cream lovers - Honeycomb, Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate.

Exclusive samples of the new range will be available to try at the Tesco Taste Northern Ireland Festival on September 10 and 11 in advance of the new range’s launch at the beginning of October.

Owner and founder of Mullin’s Ice Cream, Colm Mullin, said “Following the success of our scoop ice cream, we specially design our new Family Ice Cream range in tubs so it could be taken home and enjoyed with all the family.”

Mullins Ice Cream is an award winning and innovative ice cream manufacturer situated on the banks of the River Bann in Kilrea.

The family have been making delicious ice cream for more than fifty years using fresh milk, cream and the best inclusions that can be sourced from near and far. Last year more than two million scoops of Mullin’s award-winning ice cream were enjoyed from scoop sites by customers throughout Ireland.

Among the other local companies taking part will be Coleraine Cheese, Bushmills Distillery and Morelli’s.

The event will also feature a Cookery Theatre with live demonstrations from local producers and well-known chefs and restaurants including:Jenny Bristow, Stephen Jeffers, Jason More, CoCo, Hakka Noodle, and Niall McKenna from James St. South and a Diageo cocktail finale
