Renewable Partnerships Ltd has been appointed by the Ballymena BID as its preferred energy management broker and are now working with BID Members to identify electricity savings that can be obtained both from smarter energy use as well as through changes in procurement.

Over the term of the BID, their expertise will be available for all members.

Working together in this new arrangement, Renewable Partnerships and Ballymena BID anticipate being able to achieve an appreciable overhead reduction for participating BID members.

Ballymena BID Manager, Alison Moore said: “We are committed to assisting BID members in effective procurement to improve their trading environment and we are delighted to be working with Renewable Partnerships.

“We have had some great success stories already with BID members making substantial savings, I would encourage members to make the most of this opportunity.”

Charles Eves from Renewable Partnerships commented; “We are pleased to be working with Ballymena BID to offer members the best value electricity that can be obtained for their businesses. At Renewable Partnerships, we are able to obtain broker rates for electricity from the six principal electricity suppliers to the Irish Market. This then allows us to model the specific energy usage of a client business and recommend the ideal supplier commensurate with their usage pattern.”

Ballymena BID was implemented in Ballymena Town Centre following a resounding successful vote by Ballymena town centre businesses whereby the business-led initiative allows member businesses to directly control the projects implemented in their town. Its aim is to encourage growth, development and investment in local businesses.
