New era for Damhead Nursery

The former Damhead Nursery outside Coleraine has been acquired by the long established Lamont's Garden Centre from outside Dungannon, Co.Tyrone.

This new business venture will bring a much welcomed garden centre to the Coleraine area and surrounding district.

A spokesman for Lamont’s views this acquisition as a further opportunity to not only increase their share of the market but also to provide customers with a first class family run garden centre continuing the service they provide in Co. Tyrone.

The new centre has undergone a major refurbishment with new decor, displays, lighting, counter area and a new entrance porch opens into a well stocked shop.

The garden centre shop is certainly worth a visit where there is an impressive selection of containers, window boxes, ceramic pots, garden furniture, chemicals, fertilisers, compost, garden bark, water fittings, solar lighting and artificial grave arrangements, with offers available on various garden sundries and new stock arriving daily.

Contained within the nursery there is an extensive selection of shrubs, dwarf conifers, trees, hedging and a range of hybrid tea, floribunda, climbing and patio roses, garden ornaments and fruit bushes. Planted containers for graves or for various gifts are also on display.

A spokesman also stated: “At Damhead Nursery we will specialise in growing a large selection of bedding and basket plants taking great pride in our wide range of hanging baskets and filled containers.
“Customers are invited to bring along hanging baskets , window boxes and containers where our staff will provide a refilling service and are happy to advise and assist customers with their gardening needs.’

The new centre opens six days a week from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to

5.00 pm. The official opening will be on Wednesday, March 23, were a warm welcome awaits all customers.
