Businesses are invited to sign up for the new vital communication tool which will deliver short real time messages, digital updates and local alerts to help them keep up to date with what is happening in and around the borough’s urban and rural centres. This innovative free SMS service will complement established communication channels provided by the council including regular newsletters, e-zines and social media posts, but will allow for more direct outbound messaging focusing on important local and regional updates.

ABC Lord Mayor, Cr Kevin Savage, said: “Communication has never been more important as we collectively navigate through an unfamiliar and changing commercial landscape. The council has introduced this new free Text2Business service to optimise direct communication with our business community. The sign up form is simple to complete and businesses will benefit greatly by signing up to this free service.”
